Takin Khorram

Takin Khorram has over 25 years of experience in juvenile, child custody, and family law. He brings rare and invaluable insight into foster care litigation, having spent nearly a decade litigating dependency matters at Edelman Children’s Court on behalf of children, parents, and the social services agency.

Mr. Khorram also served for nine years as a Deputy County Counsel for Los Angeles County, where he supervised Department of Children and Family Services (“DCFS”) litigation and advised senior DCFS leadership in administrative and policy-related matters. This background enables him to strategically guide clients through all phases of litigation, including complex cases involving foster care and child welfare systems.

After leaving the County Counsel’s Office, Mr. Khorram founded Riley Khorram to focus on representing individuals and families in juvenile and family law matters. He assists clients through all aspects of family law, including divorce and child custody disputes, providing clear guidance, strong advocacy, and practical solutions during some of life’s most challenging transitions.
